Baseball Artists
The baseball art community has been growing quickly in recent months. In the eight weeks since the Baseball Art Facebook page was formed, it has featured more than three dozen different artists — each the creator of one or more baseball-themed artwork. This page will list each artist, along with a URL, where applicable.

Hi, I paint Youth Sports, mostly ‘Plein Air’ in watercolor. I would love to be part of this list!
Thanks!
Rob
To Robert Becker: I like your work; I also paint youth sports, it’s great to see someone else focusing on youth sports in their art!
Here is the link straight to my Baseball Illustrations(http://scottweigner.com/Site/My_Illustrations/Pages/Baseball_Illustrations.html). I’m currently working to do a piece of all the 2008 word champion Phillies. Love the website, it is good to see all these artists showing their love for the sport.
Thanks
Thanks for finding me Chris, I would love to be added on to your list.
The Garfield Park Arts Center (GPAC): Call to Artists
The Garfield Park Arts Center (GPAC) located at 2432 Conservatory Drive will again host a themed summer show open to local and national artists. This year’s theme is The National Pastime exploring the sport of baseball, “America’s Favorite Game.” The GPAC is seeking artists who have work in this theme including paintings, photographs and mixed media. The exhibit will open Saturday June 26, 2010 at
6 p.m. with a 2 hour reception and run through Sunday August 8th, 2010.
Artists are asked to submit a brief biography, artist statement, 3-5 digital images of their work and accompanying descriptions of each piece including dimensions, special installation needs and explanation of the art form if necessary.
Acceptable formats: All images may be submitted on a CD in JPEG format or via email in JPEG format. Additional written materials may be submitted in hard copy, via email or on CD. Please label your submission with your name, address, phone number and email address. Group submissions for exhibit will also be considered.
Accepted artists will be asked to create and donate a small artist’s trading card which will be used to jumpstart a community-based project to take place in the GPAC’s Arts for All studio. This free and family-friendly opportunity, which will take place every day this summer, invites visitors to create and swap their own artist’s trading cards.
Deadline for submissions is Tuesday June 15th. After the 15th submission will be accepted only if space is available. Drop off for artwork is no later than 4pm Sunday June 20th. Participating artists have the option of offering their artworks for sale, with the GPAC retaining 10% of sale price.
Please contact Lesley Meier at the Garfield Park Arts Center for additional information, 327-7091 or lmeier@indy.gov or Kris May, GPAC Assistant Manager, 327-7135 or kmay@indy.gov.
The above is the official website for South Florida’s Baseball Artist Jorge Delara, he does amazing work and should be part of your list. He is not just an artist he is still an active amateur baseball player and youth coach and author of a newly released eBook Titled BASEBALL ARTISTRY
